NEPHROUROLOGIC PROCEDURES

Regarding Nuclear Medicine and nephrourologic assessment, 3 principal methods of great value for the clinical practice nowadays need to be discussed. They are the static scintigraphy with DMSA, the renogram either with DTPA or MAG-3 and similars and cystography presented below as direct or indirect procedure. They are employed in adult and pediatric population indistinctly. These techniques will be discussed with more details in the pages of each of them. Other procedures less often employed are also discussed.

     - Tc-DMSA Renal Scan

     - Tc-DTPA Renogram

     - Tc-MAG–3 Renogram

     - Tc-DTPA Direct Cystography

     - Tc-DTPA Indirect Cystography

     - 99mTc-MAG–3 Indirect Cystography
