Recurrent APN & VUR Therapy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            Boy,  as newborn in april 2010 first APN episode. Rx cystography revealed GIV VUR. January 2011 new APN demonstrated with DMSA scan in the left kidney, treated adequately. Follow up scan showed small left kidney with no focal defects and normal right organ. May 2011 new APN again in the left kidney in the hilum and poles. Therapy with antibiotics and recovery. Underwent surgery to treat VUR with neo-VU-implant. Last DMSA scan depicted similar smaller size and no focal abnormalities. Several urine cultures negative.
